...is this real life?? Am I really participating in Yuletide again after all these years?

Apparently yes! And I'm super excited to see what you come up with, dear wonderful writer. So. Keeping in mind that optional details really are optional, which means if you offered one of my fandoms with an idea burning deep within your gut, please, by all means go for it:

General Likes and Dislikes
I like fic of all kinds of tones with all kinds of tropes! I lean heavily towards filling in canon/worldbuilding and you'll see that in my prompts, but I'd be happy to get crossovers in Nethack or AU in my other two-and-a-half. :)

I particularly love exploring a character's feelings and reasons behind what they do (especially if it's one character examining another - there's a reason I write in limited third person a lot), found families and other bonded groups of choice, snappy dialogue, showcases of competence, resolved sexual tension, and watching characters finally relax and become comfortable in themselves.

I also like porn, with basically any gender mix, though I think my Steins;Gate prompt leans towards het and my football one leans ever so slightly towards slash. For Yuleporn, some kinks I'm particularly into, though any smut that doesn't have my Do Not Wants is good smut by my estimation: half-clothed/messing with clothing, especially formalwear; coaxing someone into becoming more vocal; playful non-humiliating gender bending; pegging; bondage, especially with rope or improvised restraints (football scarves and captain's armbands would be excellent for this, as would a certain red tie, and maybe you can find yet another usage for that one towel or that blindfold...); sneaky sex in places that will be public at a later point, while not getting caught (empty locker rooms or classrooms or the like; I would inject this kink into my veins if I could); more than two people, as long as everyone's having fun.

A few do not want things: humiliation, rape/non-con (some dub-con is fine though), infidelity (very different from consensual polyamory, which is TOTALLY COOL!), scat, significant pain (some friendly smacks on the ass are welcome, though!), watersports, non-period blood, more deaths than are already in the canons involved, underage sex (let's say 16 as a hard limit), drug usage (legal alcohol usage is okay though). Also please no character bashing - particularly considering I'm asking for RPF here and am slash-friendly for a person who is canonically married, and one of many possible ending lines!

Nethack - no characters/any

The one character nominated in this fandom is the Oracle, and hearing about her would be interesting: what does she spend the money on? How does she pass the time between characters? How does she know what she knows?

Alternately, I'd love for you to explain any of the seemingly arbitrary mechanics and locations - why does Sokoban exist? Why are monsters afraid of Elbereth? Who gets to change the code at Fort Ludios? Why does the invocation ritual work? Who installs the kitchen sinks?

I'm familiar with many other roguelikes too (as you might be able to tell from the @ that is my avatar): I especially love Ancient Domains of Mystery and Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. Crossovers into those worlds would be fun too - chats between the gods, or the Oracle and ADoM's Mad Minstrel (since they have similar roles), or whatever else strikes your fancy. :)

I don't really see porn working here unless you get a foocubus involved, though feel free to surprise me. My player characters tend to be lawful dwarven Valkyries who don't polymorph (because I'm a wimp), but feel free to make any PCs you want, and kill them off as much as Nethack does (i.e. all the time)!

I really deeply love roguelikes, okay. I used to make Let's Plays and stream them, I've talked on multiple podcasts repeatedly about them, I helped make the International Roguelike Developer Conference happen in the US for the first time, I regularly get lumped in with actual developers (especially on Twitter)...I basically don't play any other genre of game nowadays.

I actually have kind of a complicated relationship with Nethack itself though; I think it's a fascinating sandbox but it mechanically really bothers me. But the fact that there are ALL OF THESE WEIRD THINGS ALL IN THE SAME PLACE makes for an interesting world worth building, and I'd love to see what you do with it.

Resources: The game itself is free and open source, and you can play on a shared bones server if you want. The wiki is pretty great too. I'm not as familiar with most of the variants, though I'd love an excuse to learn them. :)

Steins;Gate - Makise Kurisu

Anything that explores Kurisu's character would be delightful to me: what drew her to academia? How would she tell the origin story of her @channel username? (As a former 4channer and occasional Redditor, I would take a thousand words of her exploring why she's drawn to such dark corners of the Internet and her place in those communities.) When did she start carrying around a sewing kit? Will she ever learn how to cook? What is the whole deal with "my fork" and "my spoon", anyway? I also deeply, deeply ship her with Okabe, and love their entire dynamic. Feel free to explore any part of it! (This is a great opportunity for Yuleporn, if you're up for that.)

AU would be fine here too - given the "many worlds" hypothesis the Science Adventures universe implies, you could probably insert Kurisu anywhere and explore how she would react to it and understand it! (This is actually why she's my Minecraft skin!)

I'm only familiar with the anime, but I'm hoping to play through the visual novel before Yuletide, so don't worry about spoilers and feel free to use any extra material.

Yup, Kurisu is my Minecraft skin (well, it's kinda "me cosplaying as Kurisu" since it doesn't have her coloration, but whatever). I am a giant, giant sucker for the self-aware tsundere, for the lady scientist who knows she occupies an awkward place in the world but totally owns it, and anything you make about her would make me stupidly, stupidly happy.

Also in case it matters, I prefer a more comfortably gender-androgynous Ruka(ko), with "they" as the pronoun of choice and Okabe not being too lewd/awful about it.

German NT or Bayern Munich RPF - Philipp Lahm

What a deeply fantastic, complex, and amazing person and footballer Philipp Lahm is: how does it feel to finally lead the NT to win the World Cup after so many near-misses, and why leave it before one last chance at Euros? What went on behind the scenes during the whole captaincy handover in 2010 (either NT or Bayern)? What led him to write The Subtle Difference, and what was sharing those feelings like? What was it like to start on the team you've been admiring your whole life? How did coming so close yet so far on a number of Champion's League attempts feel, and how was it when the treble finally came to pass? What has interacting with all the different managers been like? Why hasn't he left when other teams have come calling? How does it feel to watch so many NT players join Bayern with mixed success, when it's his home team and he defends it (in so many senses!) so well?

I'd be fine with Yuleporn here too, or non-Yuleporn romance - either with his wife Claudia, or any number of NT players. (And even if you go the slash route, please don't bash Claudia or any partners the others may have! I'd personally prefer the "consensual polyamory" route, though the "WAGs don't exist here" AU is cool too.) I've been in the fandom long enough to remember that Timo Hildebrand exists, and also how that all horribly went wrong, and I'm always up for hearing more about this. I'd be also more than fine with messing with the fantastically complex relationship that is Philipp with Michael Ballack, or the wonderful co-captaincy and deep understanding that is Philipp with Bastian Schewinsteiger. And how did Basti leaving Bayern affect Philipp? Or for that matter, how about Andi Ottl, his "one friend in football" who had a markedly different career trajectory?

Alternately, AU is great here too. (This fandom is crying out for bakery AU - the man himself has asked for it!)

My following of footie goes in waves, but I'm basically as familiar with his entire trajectory as a non-German speaker can be. Feel free to include any and every bit of knowledge you've got, including The Subtle Difference.

ahahahaha look, I requested this back in 2011 because I am a really predictable human being. Philipp is why I got into soccer in the first place, and his kit is the only named one I own, and I swear to God I am not actually Bavarian (or German at all!) but oh god my fangirling it runs so so deep.
