Most Kawa of Days 31: July 6, 2019
Welcome (back) to my apartment, Kawa Arena, location available by PM! It's almost my birthday!
Like last year, come whatever time you want and stay as long/little as you want, but a vegan cake will be cut at 7 PM or so.
I plan to cook quite a lot and provide both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. A partial menu will be created Soon[tm]. But I'm also encouraging folks to bring food or drinks potluck-style! I don't have a microwave, but I'm willing to heat stuff on the stove or in the oven, or just have things at room temperature!
Last year we completely ignored my board games and potential music - that may or may not happen again depending on how people are feeling. Feel free to bring games or borrow my aux cable for whatever.
The transit notes are the same as last year, and are available by PM. There continues to not be an elevator at Kawa Arena, so if stairs are hard for you getting here will be too. Sorry.
The guest note is pretty similar to last year too: Feel free to invite a few individuals you trust and adore; the place is way too small for larger groups. Folks I am inviting will mostly identify as geeks of some variety and many will be queer of some sort, though expect a lot of variance on both of those things, and I expect you and any guests you invite to be respectful to all the new folks you meet. If you can't make it in person, I invite you to call me on the phone or use Facebook Messenger or Discord voice/video chat to "make it" at least for a bit. :)
If you or your guests would rather get this invite on Google Calendar and/or Facebook instead of this plain text invite, that can be arranged as well. (There are some people who are getting those options.)
If gift-giving is how you recognize folks in your life, and you're the type to want a guide to such, a list will be procured Soon[tm].
