Methods of transformation
SO MUCH IS HAPPENING.
Speaking of queer nonsense I might be helping hatch something new and exciting and culture-shifting in my workplace. Wish me luck!
Speaking of work, I hit another milestone in the work project X/Y, and it is far less imperfect now, yay!
I've kept up on food logging on Noom but have stopped weighing myself, and the app isn't giving me shit for it. Still need to work on taking fewer shortcuts in daily transit; the nicer weather should help.
I am basically a toddler in Tagalog with the brainspace of an English-speaking adult, which is incredibly frustrating, but you know, I'll get there.
Women's World Cup is a thing; I've barely gotten to watch (the only full match I watched was USA-Chile), but have had FIFA's website up basically constantly at work checking scores and stories. Bummed about some teams not making it further (Argentina, after that heartbreaker of a group match! Canada! Brazil! Italy!!), sigh. I hope I can sneak out work early for the semifinals, and make space for the 3rd place match and final amidst Most Kawa madness. I also gotta get into NWSL and/or European women's leagues in my...copious free time...sigh.
I did also manage to make a little time to get back into Gunpla snapfitting again, including what's technically my first MG, a Ball. Tragically not the Ball ver. Ka, but hey, PartnerBeast got this one for me when he was in Japan last year, so that's something. I'm halfway done with my HG Hekija, which will finish my IBO Turbines collection, and then I'll get started on my first 'real' MG, an RX-79(G)...that I bought almost a year ago...sigh. I also finally own an airbrush (a Badger Patriot 105) but haven't worked on getting a compressor setup for it yet.
The future:
- Things are already more interesting with the PartnerBeast. This statement is mostly a note to self that I should journal completely privately about that at some point.
- I marched in the Queer Liberation Parade with my girlfriend and HOLY WOW. I have so much to process about this but to start:
- The push for intersectionality was not just talk, it was legitimate and honest and suffused everything. It was Not Perfect but *wow* it was strange and glorious to be in a space where it was attempted, on every level, everywhere
- Related to that: that was the single most accessibility-designed thing I've ever done
- I was legitimately worried about being surrounded by righteous fury, and there was plenty of righteous fury, but it came alongside joy and pride in the truest sense and just being *seen*
- I love my girlfriend, and I yelled so on the street, and that might be the first time I consciously used the word in regard to her even though it's been true for a while
- The push for intersectionality was not just talk, it was legitimate and honest and suffused everything. It was Not Perfect but *wow* it was strange and glorious to be in a space where it was attempted, on every level, everywhere
- A few days off to recover, including very intentionally not making plans for 4th of July. Maybe I'll cook myself something barbeque-ish.
- Most Kawa of Days, turning 31
- A beach day with the girlfriend, and visiting her house for the first time - spending time with her other partner for the first time in a while, meeting her cats, etc
- Leading BiRequest for the first time, on "Bisexuality and Other Communities"
- Maybe, just maybe, getting to experience tabletop gaming with PartnerBeast as DM
- Hopefully hitting another milestone in work project X/Y, getting to a point where I can focus on a different but related project (which I guess we'll call foo/bar, to keep the 'named after variables' bit going)
