Kawa Availability: Weird?
Jan. 10th, 2019 04:28 pmSo, since I wanted to lurk less and let people into my life through social media more in 2019, and this place counts as social media, might as well update here too.
I was already on a roll of really keeping myself busy:
and thinking up what to post on social media to have it not be drivel is hard when you're out of practice (though I posed one reasonable thread on Twitter, one nice post on Instagram, stopped ignoring my Mastodon, and took the pictures for the monthly food blogging thing [and thus cooked the monthly thing, which was mapo tofu - HELLA GOOD but I want to improve it])
And ( then a death in the family of origin: details inside on how I'm trying to logistically and emotionally manage some last second travel )
And did I mention that work is ramping up? And that I don't want to miss Poly Cocktails on Monday or game night on Tuesday?
ahhhhhhhhh. I will either be completely inaccessible to the world or absolutely craving the comforts of my community...honestly probably the latter. One way to find out.
I was already on a roll of really keeping myself busy:
- I am quite successfully ramping up at work and feeling the accompanying pressure; inheriting a broken Tableau dashboard is more work than I anticipated it to be, but that's Fine (tm)
- BiReq is on a condensed schedule this month because "first Monday" and "third Thursday" are just 10 days apart
- relationships are chugging along (Alison is visiting tomorrow! <3 <3)
- building better self-care habits to take care of Future Kawa is hard but a thing I really have been tackling two ways:
- Things I want to do each night: clear the kitchen sink, brush my teeth, plan my clothes for the next day, get to sleep at a reasonable hour. I've succeeded at the first two, had mixed success on the third, and the fourth is HAHAHA AUGH.
- The January Cure, which is a cool idea on a somewhat problematic home design site about refreshing your space to start the year (Is there even such a thing as a not-problematic home design site? Whatever, I follow these guys and a few others thanks to the intense research I did last year on getting furniture and stuff.)
